In an unprecedented collaboration for JBlunt Designs, Damasteel AB has chosen us to showcase their groundbreaking new patterns, "Lucia & Saga," by sending us the material to create six rings for them to showcase at future knife show events. This exclusive pre-release partnership represents a significant milestone in the world of Damascus steel craftsmanship. The pattern on these two have really taken the Saga to a new level. One of which opened the pattern up tremendously like Damasteel has never done before with previous patterns. The other taking that tight Saga pattern and creating variances you previously could only get by commissioning custom patterns from their forging department. Now both available to the public! 

A New Chapter in Damascus Steel Innovation

Both Lucia & Lucia boast the testament to Damasteel's continuing innovation in metallurgy. These new patterns introduce a distinctive wide-based design in their stainless steel austenitic damascus, setting it apart from traditional patterns in a huge way! The unique characteristics of Lucia open new possibilities for artistic expression in custom metalwork. In my "Hybrid" Collection I took this to work in creating a traditional style Hybrid ring for Damasteel AB knowing it would be in complete class of its own due to the patterns uniqueness.

Have being a selected artisans granted early access to these revolutionary patterns, I've had the privilege of exploring their potential through various approaches in finishes, etch depths as well as more complex designs like mentioned above with the Hybrid as well as the highlight of a diamond setting in another.
